Child Labour: This is how we are taking action
Here is something we want you to know: children below the age of 15 are not employed by Fairtrade organisations. Make a pledge: We are asking you to support Fairtrade by pledging to buy Fairtrade coffee. And Scale Up. We are also asking you to pledge to buy Fairtrade chocolate and coffee.
Big and Bold Coffee Pairing
Our coffee of the month Sumatra Gayo, is big and bold. It is full of body, with dark chocolate, dried cranberry and star anise notes. To complement this delightful coffee, you will need something equally strong in flavour. We love this simple Greek-inspired omelette for its smokey black olives, fetta cheese, caramelised onion and sweet fried tomatoes.
Brave Conversations
We would like to share with you a tool that has brought connection, respect and a lot of pleasant workplace conversations to Montville Coffee. We enjoy framing team meetings throughout the week, particularly a decision-making situation, with a âvirtues pickâ. This process asks willing contributors to pick from a deck of cards.
Changes to our packaging again. But why?
We have updated some of our packaging again! Now both our labels and bags are fully home compostable and we feel great about this. The new bags are a beautiful matte black and feel wonderful. This latest change is in line with our ongoing efforts to review our packaging against our own sustainability goals.
The International Year of Peace and Trust

Barista Training with Competition Winners
We were excited to offer three places in our personalised Barista Training Course to competition winners from the Hinterland Times. The course will be a great foundation, as the young locals enter the workforce.
