Festive Blend Vintage 2025 – A Season of Collaboration, Creativity, and Coffee
Each year, around late October, our inbox starts to fill with one of our favourite questions:
“Will there be a Festive Blend this year?”
My answer, of course, is always a resounding (and very excited): YES!

For the Montville Coffee team, the creation of our annual Festive Blend is more than a tradition – it’s a celebration of collaboration, creativity, and the joy of sharing something special with our Montville Coffee family.
Blend Creation
In the final week of October, a few carefully chosen bags of our most luxurious single origins were set aside. Each coffee shines beautifully on its own, but the true magic of Vintage 2025 began when Sean, Kevin, and Matt disappeared into the roastery cupping room to taste, blend, and refine.
Before long, the unmistakable sound of slurping filled the air – and we knew festive magic was afoot.
First Taste & Savouring
A few days later, the entire team of seven, gathered around the kitchen table – the heart of our workplace – to share in the group tasting.
Sean, our resident Coffee Guru (and General Manager), prepared the Festive Blend in everyone’s preferred style: a creamy latte, two flat whites, an oat flat white, one piccolo, a long black and a pure unspoilt espresso.
As we took those first tentative sips, the room fell silent… then erupted with delight. Smiles, laughter, and a chorus of tasting notes filled the air. The spirit of the season had officially arrived.
And the blend delivered!
Collaboration in Full Swing
While Sean, Matt, and Kevin could pinpoint the flavour profiles instantly, the rest of us offered our own sensory impressions, nuances, and thoughts. Ideas bounced back and forth around the table, were discarded and reimagined, until we finally settled on something that captured the essence of this year’s creation:
Burnt orange and mascarpone, dusted with Dutch cocoa.
Bittersweet and bold – delightfully naughty and nice."
Sharing (and Pairing!)
Then came the most joyful part – deciding how we could share this festive blend with you, our customer community.
Between sips and laughter, Suzy (designer of our sparkly, festive label) couldn’t help but ask, “Can we do a new blend every month?” We all loved that idea – though the roastery might need a bigger calendar!
To make the experience even more indulgent, Talia, our Operations Lead, tested a few festive recipes to perfectly pair with these bold, luscious flavours – each one approved, of course, by the rest of the team.
Throughout December, Hannah, along with the rest of the dispatch team, will share these festive recipes with you… gifted with each order.
Every one of us poured our creativity, craft, and festive cheer into this blend. The result? A coffee that celebrates connection, collaboration, and the spirit of the season – shared from our family to yours.

Why we created it
Every October, our team gathers in the Roastery to taste, blend and refine a once-a-year coffee that reflects the year that’s been – full of creativity, craft, and collaboration.
Vintage 2025 is the result of purposeful cupping sessions, shared tasting notes and more than a few joyful outbursts around the kitchen table.
It’s a team effort in the truest sense, made for our Montville Coffee community.
