I found the aroma and palate of the coffee to be a little closed when the coffee first arrived, with dark chocolate and berry notes predominating. It was by no means a bad coffee but approximately 3 to 4 weeks post roast I didnt actually check the roasted on date, so I am assuming that it was freshly roasted when it arrived), to coffee opened up to considerably more complexity, with raw cacao and more fruit driven flavours apparent. At no stage was this a disappointing coffee, and I think it would be perfect for anyone who likes dark chocolate and complex palate! For me it really came onto its own at the three week or 21 day mark however, I guess as the degassing process was starting to wins down, and I found that at this stage it paired with the un homogenised milk that I was drinking with it perfectly!

I first discovered this coffee when I was visiting my in-laws in the noose hinterland! I am the first generation of italian immigrants to be born in Australia so coffee is very important to us.
Without a doubt the best coffee I have even bought.
I will continue to purchase forever!

Love Montville coffee woodford blend is my favourite but I even tried a small packet of the Sunshine Coast blend and I’m really enjoying it as well.
