Description

To celebrate International Coffee Day, (October 1st) we’re proud to unveil our first-ever small batch release – a coffee that’s stolen our roaster’s heart:

Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Cherbenta Gr 1.

This is more than just a coffee, it’s a story of craft, community, and vibrant flavour.

A Coffee Lover’s Dream

Grown at 1900–2200m in Southern Ethiopia, the Cherbenta is nurtured by heirloom varieties and the region’s unique high-elevation climate. The natural process – where cherries are dried with their pulp intact – produces a complexity that challenges and delights in equal measure.

Tasting notes:

  • Citrusy Brightness: Orange peel with ripe cherries.
  • Luscious Sweetness: Rich caramel, and toffee.
  • Elegant Finish: Floral undertones that linger long after every sip.

Roasted with Purpose

Its Grade 1 classification and perfectly dense beans roast like a dream – every small batch has been crafted to unlock the Cherbenta’s dynamic personality. Behind every cup is the Cherbenta Cooperative, part of the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmers Cooperatives Union (YCFCU). Their commitment to Fairtrade, Organic farming, and sustainability mirrors our values at Montville Coffee.

 Fresh, Small-Batch Exclusivity

This is a limited release – small batch roasted and shipped straight from our roastery to your door. Once it’s gone, it’s gone.

 Be Part of the Journey

Celebrate International Coffee Day this October with a coffee that embodies artistry, integrity, and adventure. Don’t miss your chance to taste why the Cherbenta stands out among the world’s great coffees.

CERTIFIED FAIRTRADE & ORGANIC

Third-party certification cuts through empty words

When we say that as part of our company values we support our coffee farming communities and the protection of the environment, we don’t ask you: ‘take our word for it’. We want those values to stand on their own and want you to be able to rely on independent third party certification. Through our longstanding relationship with Fairtrade we have been able to witness first hand this transformative impact.
